The writing in this book is phenomenal. Alissa knows how to use words and descriptions that I feel most books don’t have. The POV of the main character, Celeste, was well written. Alissa definitely took time to create this monstrous character and did well at creating the book like it was truly coming from the mind of a pedophile. It makes you truly realize that there are people in this world who are as sick as Celeste. While the writing was great, the story was absolutely sickening. The detailed descriptions were worthy of vomiting. It was awful how she managed to groom these middle school aged kids, and get them to think it was okay for her to r@pe them! I was going to DNF the book, but there were mixed reviews on finishing it. It’s definitely not a story for the lighthearted! I give 4.5 stars because the writing was great but the story was heartbreaking and disturbing and disgusting.
