Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone

three words: definitely worth it

i read this in one day. i was that into it. i don't even know where to begin but all i can say is, i loved it. i really really REALLY loved it. i fell in love with the characters: Sam - brave Sam -, the lovely and beautiful AJ, and the gang of Poet's Corner. Most especially i cried my heart out for Caroline. I am really emotionally invested with this book.

when i first read it, what really got my attention was the part where the protagonist has an OCD. as a psych student, i've always been fascinated in reading novels that involve characters with mental health issues because these books give me insights and broadens my knowledge into understanding other people especially those with these cases. And Samantha McAllister is the first fictional character (somewhat) i've read that has OCD but is leaning more on the 'obsessive' side. there are so many fresh revelations for me in this book since most of the time, the 'compulsive' part in OCD is what is most likely to be portrayed in books, movies, etc. Aside from this, i've always loved literature and recently i've been reading more poetry books and the fact that poetry became a therapeutic avenue for Sam (and others), i couldn't be more in love with this. ❤️

my wish, my only wish, is for me to be able to go to a place as beautiful as Poet's Corner. :)
