I'm officially halfway through! After being slightly disappointed in Book 6, I was a more tentative going into this one than I have been any of the others. Fortunately, Baum falls back in stride with The Patchwork Girl of Oz. The Patchwork Girl herself is a great little character, and the relationship and antics between her and the Scarecrow are really fun! The story itself gets back to the original recipe of quick-punch adventures. Hopefully this means that Book 6 with just an anomaly.
