I don’t understand why readers get bent out of shape when authors write several series set in familiar worlds with similar story lines, just featuring different characters. If you wanted something different, I’m not sure why you’d pick up another series that’s even similarly named…. but maybe I’m just defensive because I’ve become a Kelley Armstrong fangirl.
Are there some facets that got tiresome? Sure. Are there some characters I would have happily seen snatched by some wild forest animal? You betcha. Did I like this book in spite of those things? I did. And I immediate picked up the final book in the series.
