Sinful Kisses by Emily Bowie

5.0

Sinful Kisses is an enemies to lovers mafia romance and book #2 in the Dark Mafia Sins series. Although, you don't need to read book #1 Sinful Daughter, it will enhance your reading experience. Hence, the main characters were introduced in the first book. This book is Gia (she's Aria sister, the main character from book #1) and Romeo's story. My goodness!! I loved reading Sinful Daughter, but this read! Its definitely a fast paced read. Ahh, Romeo! He's definitely a charmer and he sure is a c*cky character. But I couldn't believe how he managed to change the situation he is into his advantage! Talk about quick and sneaky thinking! He is out for revenge, and nothing will stop him including Gia, or so he thought. I really enjoyed seeing Gia's character in this book! I got a glimpse to her character from the previous book, but I didn't realize how much of a great character she really was until I read this book.

I don't want to give too many spoilers away, but basically Gia is in a sticky complicated situation. She's stuck with Romeo. All of her emotions are haywired, she wants to trust Romeo but deep down she knows something isn't right. She feels lost, confused as she navigates her way through the situation she is in. Gia wants answers, she just knows Romeo is hiding something. And at the same time Gia is dealing with her sudden attraction towards Romeo. The chemistry between them is sizzling! I really enjoyed seeing their friendly and "not so friendly" banter. In some of the scenes they fought each other, and things did get pretty steamy. Romeo didn't calculate his emotions into his plan. But now, there's a change of plans, he wants Gia and he's not giving her up. I loved how at comfortable Gia and Romeo with in one anothers' presence. They brought out the best in each other.

Two rival mafia families. Gia Rossi is the youngest daughter of the Rossi family and Romeo Mancini is the second oldest in the Mancini family. Romeo's family lost control over their territory, they are now a disgraced mafia family. Romeo's life is turned upside down. Once living a luxurious lifestyle, Romeo suddenly found himself living in exile at a pig farm (can I just say how loved Emily Bowie created this setting!!). He was living in the fast lane; he was living the good life, he didn't have a care in the world, until the day his father died. And then we have sweet Gia, she's a mafia princess and she's engaged to be married ever since the day she was born. She had her life all planned out, but the sudden sharp turn of events changed everything. Gia's life is never going to be the same. Overall, another great mafia read!! Looking forward to reading Luca's book!
