The American Roommate Experiment by Elena Armas
2.0
I think I'm in the small minority that found this better than the first book, but that's an abysmally low bar to begin with. I hated The Spanish Love Deception, so I thought this was an entirely more palatable read.
That being said, the characters are flat and I felt literally no chemistry between Rosie and Lucas. Also, I think I'm just fundamentally too chronically single and too much of a misandrist to relate and empathize with booktok protagonists. Like I just don't believe a man is that world-shattering.... idk... my life is way more important to me than some dude....
