“A story with a heartwarming blend of romance, self-discovery, and canine companionship that Burton created with genuine warmth and charm.” - thindbooks
This story follows a woman who’s not financially stable and has many foster dogs but someone comes into her temporary home and her life changes. I enjoyed reading this book which was fun and involved a lot of doggy time. The story was not just romance but also self-development and protecting the dogs. There was so much page time for them that I loved how well Burton blended it into the story. The pacing was great and I enjoyed the setting of the story. There weren’t many conflicts like I thought there would be throughout the book expect the main one being the actual storyline. This book is told from dual povs of both Hazel and Linc.

Hazel is homeless but is protecting a lot of her rescue dogs. I loved how much she cares for them and how kind she is. She had a great story and development to her. Linc is the billionaire who helps Hazel but begins to fall in love. I love how caring he is of her and understands that she wants to protect the dogs. There weren’t many side characters at all. There were some minor ones but mainly the MCs and the dogs were the only characters on the page. The romance is forced proximity and strangers to lovers which was cute with some minor steamy scenes.

The ending was well done and overall, I enjoyed this book. It was well-written and fun. I did have some minor issues but that was just me. I really recommend checking out this book because it’s a great story you don’t want to miss out.
