this book devastated me!! I knew to expect some angst, given how the first three books went but THE PROLOGUE!? my god my heart was hurting from the very start!

'Sanitago Alatorre loves me in a way that most people spend their whole lives chasing.'

SANTI MY STRONG BOY! I was not expecting his storyline AT ALL and my heart hurt for him throughout this whole book, but I was so proud of his growth and the work he did to get his life back. I love that, even though he was struggling, at the root of it Santiago was still the same man we all knew and loved. I loved getting to see his romantic side with Chloe (WE LOVE A MAN WHO PULLS A JOHN HUGHES!!!) and seeing him be a big brother and Uncle (shoutout to ironman iykyk) and seeing him get through the darkness and step into the light, and become a version of himself he could be proud of and loved, and also someone that inspired others <3

I loved seeing Marko, Chloe and Santi together like a cute little pseudo-family; Marko brought out such a soft side to Santiago that was reminiscent of the man we first met at the start of the series. I loved seeing that part of him after everything he's gone through.

"She's my kaleidoscope in a world of gray."

CHLOE I LOVE YOU!!! Much like Santi, Chloe has been through so much. Her optimism despite it all was endearing, I love her and her wish book! Chloe is so funny and witty and vulnerable, I loved her character so much.

Chloe and Brooke's friendship, even halfway around the world, was so beautiful. The perfect found family! Their friendship is so wholesome, I love how they support each other and are there for one another through the highs and lows <3

"Personally, I don't care if it takes you a minute or an hour to get up. All that matters it that you do."

I loved all the Noah and Maya content too, and little Marko!
It felt like such a full circle moment to see the Slade family, and to see how Noah and Santi's brotherhood has grown and developed since 'Throttled' - Noah was one of Santi's biggest cheerleaders during his whole recovery process, he championed his return to F1 and supported him as much as he could and I absolutely adored it, I was so glad we got to see their growth <3

Chloe and Santiago's story was perfection. This book felt so homey and domestic, I really liked how effortless it felt between them, whether they were pissing each other off or acting all cute and romantic; it just always felt so right. I loved seeing Santi and Chloe both learn how to let their walls down, be vulnerable and accept the love they were receiving. They both went through so much and neither deserved half the crap they got thrown at them but I loved watching them work through everything and come out the other side stronger <3

"I'll love Santiago Alatorre for as long as the wildflowers keep growing in beautiful chaos."

This was the perfect ending to such a wonderful series. I'm so glad we got to see all the dirty air couples in the epilogue - it felt so fitting to end this series with all of them together and happy with their families, as one big family. It's so bittersweet to finish this book - I'm so sad to say goodbye to the dirty air series, but my heart is so happy knowing they're all happy <3
