* I read an arc of this book. *

Phew... This book was a rollercoaster of painful, hurtful moments sprinkled with happy ones.
I knew from previous books the type of love and how deep Hadleigh & Hudson loved each other but damn ... I was not prepared for this level of hurt even if I knew this was an amnesia romance.

I loved Hadleigh & Hudson so much and it hurt reading about their issues.
Hadleigh was such a strong character throughout the story. I admired the way she never lost hope of finding Hudson and I loved the way she honored him through their child.
Hudson was in a tough situation but he never stood a chance. After he disappeared, I had concerns especially when 4 years has gone by.

Brooks seemed like a good brother in the beginning but when Hudson disappeared things changed. I thought he was sus from that point forward. I hated that he "helped" Hadleigh throughout her pregnancy and her husband's disappearance. It felt icky to me and I hated seeing all of it happening. I understood Haleigh's thought process throughout that but that didn't help me at all digesting it.

I loved that once Hudson was found, Hadleigh dropped everything and went to him. She insisted and persevered in going after what was hers and that was her husband. I loved that even though Hudson didn't know who she was, he still felt a pull towards her in his very bones. They truly felt like soulmates and inevitable. They were meant to be together.
I loved seeing them fall in love again and they were precious. I loved Hoyden, their son, and I broke into tears when Hudson and Hoyden first met. It was such an emotional moment, just thinking about it makes me tear up. 🥹

The last 20% was a lot to deal with. All the revelations were revealed and I honestly felt overwhelmed by it. I suspected some things but others were a complete surprise. I just think the reveals should've happened a bit more spaced out. It felt like too much all at once.

Overall I just love that Hudson & Hadleigh made it out alive and dare I say, more in love than before. I loved seeing their family happy and overcome everything that was thrown their way. They got a well deserved hea.

I loved seeing Patrick, Iseult and Gio again. Iseult was a bad*** like I was expecting her to be. I loved her friendship with Hudson too. I liked how she come into play in the story.
I loved seeing how fatherly and supportive Patrick was and I hope we get a novella or something about him.

I know Lilian was afraid of putting this story out there but I think it paid off. She did a great job with it and I can't wait to read her next book.
