I wasnt able to put it down. The revaluations Ariadne had come to after her experiences with the men, mortal and immortal, in her life made me think that she would have a different outcome; however, she fell victim like many other women before her. it was interesting reading about Ariadne and her relationship with the god Dionysus, a Greek love story that I didn't know of prior. Saint does a great job at giving voices to the women of Greek history/mythology, who may have been silenced or looked over due to the men in their lives. From Ariadne's life and hardships, readers are exposed to the lives and suffering of all women, noble or not, and how they fall victim to being tools to uplift the pride of men. The retelling and take of these stories kept me engaged and at the edge of my seat, falling in love with some of the characters and feeling satisfied after putting the book down.
