The Wiener Across the Way by Amy Award

3.5

Received an ARC, thanks in advance to BookFunnel making this my first ARC review.

“The Wiener Across The Way” is a light hearted fake dating (shomance) romance novel about Kelsey, a famous popstar, and Declan, meanest footballer and member of the Kingman family. She wants the press to stop talking about her ex and he needs to get a better public image. But it’s not only for show as they develop feelings for each other. Through a career crisis they grow even closer and learn to take care of their other half and themselves.
With no third act breakup they master every challenge together and find their deserved happy ending.

Like I already said it’s a light hearted romance novel, with some plot but I read it mostly for fluff and the representation of plus-sized MCs. If that’s what you’re looking for you’ll be happier with it but don’t expect a world changing plot. I like that it doesn’t have the third act breakup, but I also think the twist was a bit unrealistic for the setting and the characters but because I have no clue about the real music industry won’t make a big point of it. The discussion about taking care of oneself is also a great theme, so please guys take care of yourself and find the time to do things which you enjoy and have fun with.
