Lavender House by Lev AC Rosen

mysterious medium-paced

3.0

  • I really liked the build of a lot of characters but wish we got more scenes of them- exploring those nuances
  • I liked the red herring solution to the mystery better than the actual truth which felt sort of predictable in set up
  • The premise is super solid tho and I had a fun time reading it- enjoyed the melodrama too- just kept waiting for more.
  • There was a bit too much just openly monologuing infodumping
  • I will give the other one a shot tho bc I love the premise of queer mysteries
