I really enjoyed the premise, the existential musings and the strong relationship the main character develops with the animals. It was written as a report which didn’t connect with me and I found it dragged on and on, the endless repetitive descriptions of the weather, the chores, the landscape. I understand that that’s part of the journey, it’s just not usually something I find engaging.
