The Beach At Summerly by Beatriz Williams

4.0

3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Beatriz Williams is a favorite of mine and I've read nearly everything she has written. While this title is not one of her series books, it is in the same vein.

This is the fictional story of Emilia (Cricket) Winthrop, in the years immediately following WWII as her family navigates the return of the summer families and rejoins society following the war. Cricket finds herself in love with her childhood best friend, whose family home HER family is the caretakers for.

One part spy novel, one part beachy love story.

I liked it. Didn't love it. But always enjoy BW.
