God this was so good. I think I read the last 200 pages or so in one go, completely ignoring my husband's prompts to go to bed. And that ending! It's been a while since a book made me audibly gasp. I love how much more the world and its politics were expanded in this book, though I definitely had to go back to the map quite a few times. It also was a book which made me so angry at times that I almost threw it across the room but I mean that in the best way possible (no spoilers). I continue to adore the cast of supporting characters and can't wait to get to know them as the books go on. If I had a single qualm it would be the occasional glimpses of alpha-male characteristics in Xaden but that's a me problem. If you liked Fourth Wing, definitely continue the series. Well worth it!
