Beating Heart (Magnolia Falls Book 4)
Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"I'm going to call you Sunny. Because the word sun is at the end of your name, and I think you feel like sunshine."
"It had been a long time since I'd wanted a woman like this. And there was no doubt about it. I wanted this woman something fierce."
"I don't know what I did to deserve you, but I'd sure like to keep you, beautiful."

Oh my "Beating Heart." This book was everything I was hoping for and more! I have been waiting since book one to read Nash Heart's and Beefcake's book, and it did not disappoint. I absolutely adore these two and could not imagine a better story for their sweet family.
Nash Heart is the ultimate Dad! I mean SWOON 😍. While he keeps his circle of friends and family small, he loves each of them so fiercely, and would do anything for them, though, his love for his son, "Beefcake" Cutler Heart shines the brightest. They have such a special bond, and I love how close they are with each other. Getting an in depth look at their relationship in this book was literally making my heart melt! On top of being an amazing father, I really enjoyed watching Nash and Emerson's relationship develop.
Emerson is so caring and kind. She has the biggest heart and is so compassionate with everyone she encounters. She is resilient and so strong. I love the interactions we saw with her patients and that she has such a passion for medicine and caring for children. Her and "Beefcake's" relationship was something special! I really loved watching it grow and develop over the course of this book. Their interactions had me doing everything from giggling to pulling at my heartsrings.
Emerson was exactly what Nash needed, and everything he didn't know he wanted. Someone to come in and love not only him, but his boy, as much as he did. Watching her and Nash's relationship come to life was something special. I am in love with these two, and their little family will live on in my head rent free for some time!
I can't finish this without mentioning Cutler "Beefcake" Heart, the sweetest little boy there is. He stole the show for me! He had my cracking up and my heartstrings pulling throughout this entire book. His maturity and understanding of adult topics is second to none, and I love his take on the world and everything he is going through in this book. If only we could all see the world in such a way.
I can't wait to get glimpses of this family in the next book and see where life takes them!
