Fighting to Forget
by J.B. Salsbury
5 'This just keeps getting better and better' Stars
“Only for you will I fight this fight”.

Fighting to Forget is one of the most emotionally painful book in this series so far. Who am I kidding? All the JB Salsbury books are emotional and painful, but this one, this one was different. To me it's because of what Gia and Rex dealt with as kids. This also one of the hardest book to review.
Mac is on one mission, and one mission only, to protect Rex. She's known as Mac now but she's actually Gia. She's been stalking Rex since she found out where he was and this time she's not letting go. You see she made a promise once that she couldn't keep.
“I don’t know what’s happening to you down here, but I promise I’ll be here for you always. I’ll get you out of here. You don’t think I can because I’m only eight, but I can. I will”
Rex doesn't remember anything about his earlier life. He has dreams, and that's all they are, dreams. He deals with pain by being in pain. The fighting, tattoos, piercing, and dangerous things he put himself through. He doesn't understand half of the stuff that's happening in his life. He's a lost man. Until her. Mac.

The more they're together the more the chemistry grows, and the more it is painful for Gia. She doesn't know what to do. She's been waiting for this moment for a while, to tell Rex the truth, but how could she. He doesn't remember anything from the past nor does he remember Gia. She doesn't know what to do, to either tell him or let him move on.
This book was so thick. I had butterflies in my tummy through the whole ride. Together they were extraordinary. I cried, laughed, and cried again with them. It was so hard to put down too. I read it in less than 3 hours. I seriously love this series now. Also I love how Salsbury has everything connected together. Like I didn't see that one coming at all and I love that about these books, they surprise me. She is one talented author.
