Ruby City by Astrid Cole
4.0
Ruby City is another action packed installment to the Diamond City series! Astrid Cole has done it again, so get ready to stay up late reading because you will need to know what happens!
RC is fasted paced, beginning after a big time jump from the end of Emerald City. If you’re reading this, I assume you read EC and that INSANE ending! The first half of Ruby is wild and gut wrenching. I probably cried at least 3 times because of all the feelings. But don’t fret, you will definitely get your answers as to what happened after the devastating Emerald ending.
I loved that we learn more about the world in this one. We get some answers to the origins of the “squids” and we get to visit new places.
There are several big conflicts Sage has to overcome to get her HEA. Lots and lots of action, lots of twists and turns, lots of fight scenes and some more betrayals and heartache.
Sage & Damian continue their fun dynamic, though Damian isn’t quite himself the first half of Ruby, which is completely understandable after the events in Emerald. But we still get their banter and don’t worry, there’s some spicy scenes too
