Nice refreshing story with different problems for the MCs than what we usually see.
Jake's snark and Patrick's abilities to navigate the world despite his blindness made the story for me. Of course, the added textual relations the pair has in the beginning made me like it even more.
Jake's backstory was nice to know, but once it caught up to him, it was more drama than I needed. His sisters and mother was very reliant on him, and not necessarily likeable, so I kinda just hoped he would leave them to fend for themselves for once..
