Thank you to Shout Mouse Press for gifting me a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I can't recommend this story collection enough. Reading about how the pandemic affected other young people around my age made me feel seen and most importantly, heard.

This beautifully crafted collection of stories gives us a glimpse into the lives of diverse young adults as they navigate this new normal. We learn how covid disrupted lives for the better or (more often) the worst. I felt attached to each of the characters I met. I wanted to reach through the pages and tell them that things do get better. Often, certain sentences in other languages were not translated which heightened the immersion, in my opinion. This book raises subjects such as mental health, racism, family, community and belonging. The way each story was different, yet so similar, reminded me that despite our differences, we are all connected.

It's very important for young people to have a space to voice their emotions. Shout Mouth Press is doing an amazing job at providing that safe space.
