I wanted to like this one. The premise sounded interesting. I thought Cassandra was going to be a quirky character like Britt-Marie in Britt-Marie Was Here. But I could not find any connection to Cassandra. I just didn't like her. She felt robotic and wooden. Normally, I love the magical realism genre, but this felt more like a slog rather than magical. I have no idea how she even started to date Will, much less have any kind of relationship with him.
