Imagine that two career children end up in the Hunger Games, but they don’t know that they’re playing. Welcome to The Night Circus. I found the ending of this book quite sad and unsatisfying even though it went on for a while.
I was confused at many parts of this book as well. As a point of preference, I really do not care for time jumping through the plot and wandering perspectives because I find it very hard to keep track of where we are and who is who. I also naturally favor one perspective or timeline more than others which makes me dislike the parts when I’m pulled away. I can see why fans of flowery prose and riddles may enjoy this book, but it wasn’t for me.
