idk this one might be my favorite, i feel like it’s pretty close to a 5 star.
this book was crazy stupid CUTE. my heart was so gushy reading this. i don’t read a lot of friends to lovers, but gosh i loved these two. i was crying, laughing, swooning, feeling all mushy gushy and gooey inside.
this one is deep if i’m being honest. both characters lost a parent at a young age and faced a lot of grief in trying to deal with it. i’m not kidding, i CRIED multiple times. it was so emotional and just hit a soft spot inside of me and i was so sad and emotional with the characters. i felt what they were feeling and it hurt me. i haven’t lost a parent (thank you lord) but i’ve lost grandparents so i understand some of the feelings associated with losing a loved one and facing grief.
i loved the pacing of this book and their stories. i appreciated the other plot with alexis and this family she didn’t know existed. it added to the story perfectly in my opinion. i was never bored, i couldn’t put this one down. if i had any chance to read it you bet i had my head in this book reading it.
