This book was hard for me. On one hand I really throughly enjoy the world building and characters but on the other it is just too long for what happened. I feel like if this book was 300 pages shorter it would have had more impact. Darien and Loren's relationship is also lack luster to me and I kept on sitting here wanting more from both of them. The last half of the book is what kept me going however it was very reminicent of the ending of book 1. The ending though was surprising and I am interested in seeing how the story now goes, however I will be taking a break from the series.
