Trails and Targets by Kelly Eileen Hake is a fun loving story that is the beginning of a new adventure series. Beatrix Darlyn, who is an amazing sharp shooter, is the oldest of the four Darlyn sisters. You have to love that play on words. Each of her sisters has a different skill: trick horse riding, knife throwing, archery, and roping. Grey Wilder is passing through town, but stops for awhile to help out the Daryln sisters with their financial troubles. Grey deals with his past and tries to find a way to fit Beatrix into his future.
This is a great story with many twists and turns to keep you engaged. Ms. Hake has interesting characters that struggle with issues of accepting God's love and following Him. She weaves their past heartaches into a future that allows for them to more fully experience God's love and experience the freedom that only comes from following Him. Ms. Hake has a wonderful way of drawing her reader into the old west and gives you characters you can root for.
