I loved loved almost all of this book and Catton’s writing and social pen are astute. Ending with a
mass murder felt very sudden and out of nowhere, and far fetched for who the character were
. Overall, would recommend but the ending left me dissatisfied as it felt heavy handed in a way the rest of the book did not.
