i feel like i cannot in my right mind rate this book highly seeing as it took me SO long to read, literally a year. and the characters are SO frustrating and i hated all of it, BUT in the last third i stopped expecting the book to be a cute romance or a romance at all even and just thought of it as a tense story about growth and discovering yourself through rough patches of your life, and it was much easier to read after that
