I really wanted to like this! I did like the world building and the idea for the story in itself but the writing style almost put me to sleep. It was supposed to be adventurous but instead turned out kind of dull, I didn’t care about any of the characters and Tolkien didn’t manage to make me excited about the story or the stakes.
