Ya know what? I loved this. It was fun. It has some good world building. It's not as intricate plot-wise as I would have liked, but it's more interesting than the classic trope. I want to read more but I'm afraid that the rest of the books in the series would fall into trope categories. I'm not sure how much more plot can be squeezed out of this.
