I found the start quite cringey some of the dialogue wasn’t great. However as the book progressed it got a lot better. I enjoyed the lack of a third act break-up and the addition of a different style of conflict in its place. For a book that claimed to be a standalone there was definitely a lot of time spent on the previous book couple, however that was okay. Both MC’s were extremely likeable, there was essentially no miscommunication between the two and the kid was adorable.
