Jessica Jones - Marvel Digital Original (2018) #1 by Martin Simmonds, Mattia de Iulis, Kelly Thompson
4.0
"I used to think it was a bad idea to enjoy a moment like this. Like I didn't deserve it. And later, I knew I deserved it, but I was still crippled by the idea that recognizing things being good--me being happy--was a sure way to jinx it all, make it disappear."Well, Jessica's not wrong in that department. This is the first time that Jessica Jones is written by a female writer and it's really empowering! The storyline here is set when Jessica now has a family life with Luke. (I initially thought that this was a reboot hehehe my bad for not reading the blurb all the time) Everything's fine and peachy until a previous client turned out to be dead in her office, and of course, she's framed for the death.
This sounds like your standard intro for Jessica Jones but I'm warning you, it gets exciting by the time she was shot dead and turned out to be not-dead at all. HAHAHA. Graphics wise, the art was amazingly drawn. It has this modern clean art style and it really fits the theme of the comic. There are also numerous cameos from big shot superheroes so it's a major plus for me. I'm hoping to get more satisfying answers for the next issues!
