A Mackenzie Family Christmas: The Perfect Gift by Jennifer Ashley

3.0

I finished reading this right after the 4th novel and I had moment that made me wince. The story says Elliot and Juliana are already married, but in truth the story is between the 4th and 5th novel, so actually they haven't yet married. This really made me hiss for a second. Luckily Jennifer Ashley didn't write more about them and spoil their story. Otherwise it's a delightful story with moderate romance. The story switches between couples as well as servants and guests to tell the story of the Christmas Days from their POV. That was a lot of fun. Other than that I have to admit, that this story wasn't something I really needed to read. True, there's the birth of Eleanor's baby boy as well as a heart-warming scene between Fellows and Louisa. But everything else was only marginally important. Still, a great read for a night of rain.
