Making Faces by Amy Harmon

5.0

“True beauty, the kind that doesn't fade or wash off, takes time. It takes pressure. It takes incredible endurance. It is the slow drip that makes the stalactite, the shaking of the Earth that creates mountains, the constant pounding of the waves that breaks up the rocks and smooths the rough edges. And from the violence, the furor, the raging of the winds, the roaring of the waters, something better emerges, something that would otherwise never exist."

So, I just rated another 5 stars! This book is a touching portrayal of finding true beauty within the ugliness. Fast-paced and very well written. All the characters just touches you and affects you in all kinds of ways. If they didn't, I wouldn't be bawling my eyes out.

I love how realistic all these characters were written. Every single one of them affected me, twisted my heart and made me cry my eyes out. Especially sweet, beautiful Bailey Sheen. He is definitely engraved in my heart. Such a beautiful soul. The very reason I'm crying at 4am. I also love Fern's selflessness and Ambroses' good heart.

This book is very beautiful.
This is definitely not the last time I'm going to read an Amy Harmon's book.
