This was my first foray into fantasy in decades as part of my Genre Diversification Challenge.
Blood Over Bright Haven has echoes of Harry Potter and Wicked exploring such real life issues of xenophobia and sexism. It also takes on religion and the philosophical discussion of what makes a person good so I can forgive its heavy handedness at times.
