This was a bit of a disappointment for me. This was my first Lisa Jackson book I've picked up, and while it certainly won't be my last, I think I am going to be picking up thrillers from other authors. I did love the main character and her story, but I felt like we should have been solely from her perspective and not have it multi POV. I feel that it would have upped the suspense if it was just from Rachel's POV.
Also, I was a little confused about the motive of the person responsible for this. It just seemed like we were headed in one direction and the author was like 'Nope, I am going to make it go in this direction to add that element of surprise'. Then we are left with an open ending with the possibility of a sequel, but I am not invested enough to really get back into this one story anymore. So, if there is a sequel... I don't care about it.
Still, it made for an awesome read and when I was in the book, I was very attached to the character (or at least some of the characters). In future, I will definitely pick up another Lisa Jackson book, but for now I want to try other authors. Mostly because I feel like I need to find the right kind of thriller for me, and I loved some elements of the thriller in this book and didn't like others.
