I DNF'd at around 80%. I don't really know what happened - the book started so strong. The writing was absolutely beautiful and the plot was pretty engaging right from the beginning.
But I just couldn't connect with any of the characters and half way through I lost all interest in the plot as it was seemingly going nowhere. The politics were uninteresting and I never felt a sense of urgency despite one plot line being primarily about rebels who were supposed to be fighting for freedom from their oppressors.
The romance didn't work out for me either. I was really excited for another wlw book but the build up and connection just wasn't there for me
