Catalyst: A Rogue One Novel
by James Luceno
Typically not one to read Star Wars books, the era of the new canon has me somewhat intrigued. And Catalyst fits nicely into that curiosity.
This is really more in tune with those who want the history of Star Wars, to fill in the holes that a cinematic offering does not provide. And given that I like understanding history I enjoyed the book.
A bit slow all the way through, it finally picks up in the last fourth of the book... as we get closer to the expected outcome presented in Rogue One.
The machinations of Krennic seem overly played out and stretched thin throughout the book. However it did bring Tarkin into the mix and now I suppose I will need that novel now.
Still a Star Wars geek. I'm good with that.
