The writing style is incredibly fitting for the characters - in a word, pretentious. It’s verbose and poetic in a very clearly trying-to-be-poetic way, but I can’t imagine it being written any differently. Worth reading, yes. Favorite book, no. While it was profound at times, sometimes the way it was constantly trying to be profound was tiresome. It reminds me of tumblr in 2014.
