This book is just awful. Besides being excruciatingly boring, the two Romani characters in the book are written horribly, even with a reference to a white child, who is part of his “new family” asking to keep him like a pet. I didn’t think it could possibly get worse, but apparently it also includes many issues of consent, which are treated as sexy, including the manipulation of differing socioeconomic status. Disgusting.
