“Love is fickle and fleeting. It is rarely a solid foundation for decisions to be made upon, in any game.”

Reading this book was like stepping into the dream realm. Whimsical yet so mysterious. Erin encapsulates the imagery in the most beautiful manner.
Her imagination and words weaved together is what truly constructs this book. Don't go into it looking for action and intensity or even a grand plot but something more magical and heart-felt.

The characters were a delight to read yet all portrayed themselves as a mystery in ways.
It was also interesting to see how the game progressed and pieces were moved, I will admit I was scared to see how'd the book would conclude but it wrapped up perfectly.

However as much as I do adore the book, I found myself not completely connected to the romance. Don't get me wrong, Celia and Marco are wonderful..but their romance seemed so sudden to me. It seemed as if there wasn't much build up and moments between them before one random night Marco decides to declare his unconditional love
And Isobel was treated quite unfairly..i do wish the best for her

but nonetheless I did love them

(This book isn't quite exactly a full 5 star but it feels wrong and is, to give it anything less..)

The heart of the tale and the ideas behind it are simple. Time has altered and condensed their nuances, made them more than story, greater than the sums of their parts. But that requires time. The truest tales require time and familiarity to become what they are.”
