I loved T Kingfisher’s take on Sleeping Beauty. Toadling was taken as a human baby and a changeling placed instead. As Toading was so young when taken she gained magic. She meets a Knight who wants to rescue the Princess in the Tower and over the course of the book you learn about the girl and Toadling’s role in why she is there. Felt like a warm hug of a book.
