Brightly Woven: The Graphic Novel
by Alexandra Bracken, Leigh Dragoon
This one wasn't on my radar. I hadn't heard of it until I saw it in the library and then I read that it was a newly adapted version of an older work. I must say it did feel like an older work, having read (only) one of Bracken's more recent books.
This was a cute story. I wasn't super invested in anything though and the only thing I did find interesting was the use of magic in the colour of the cloaks that the wizards wore. Amplified, by the gorgeous art work.
I think this may be the case that, because I haven't read the original source I probably missed out on a lot more detail and context that may have roped me into the world a bit more, but I think it also lies in the fact that it was a story that just didn't really interest me.
Pick it up, give it a go and enjoy! >(^_^)<
