lkitt 's review for:
Black Brother, Black Brother
by Jewell Parker Rhodes
This book was great for a middle grade audience. Rhodes writes in a staccato stream of consciousness that carries the reader through the emotions of the main character. Definitely would recommend for struggling readers, boys looking to read outside of the typical sports, and anyone interested in starting a conversation about race, racism, bias, and how those things play out individually and institutionally.
