A Wicked Kind of Husband by Mia Vincy
5.0
“I’m your husband and you’re my wife and I know what that means now,” he whispered. “It means for better or for worse, and I’m going to devote my life to making your life better, whether you want me to or not.”
5+ stars!!
Oh my word, how I loved this book! I've been in this weird psuedo-slump lately and I wanted something different to spice up all of my paranormal reads lately, so I decided to finally pick this HR novel up, which has been on my tbr forever thanks to my bookish friend Melanie. I already had high expectations for this novel, and let me just say that this perfect, sexy, heartfelt story did not disappoint.
Joshua and Cassandra have been married for two years...and haven't seen each other since their wedding night. They have lived separate lives--Joshua in the city, Cassandra in the country--until Cassandra must travel to London to make arrangements for her sister's debut into Society. When they meet unexpectedly while promenading, they hardly recognize each other, yet sparks ignite between them and their game of push-and-pull begins.
I absolutely LOVED the banter and chemistry between Joshua and Cassandra!! Their wit and humor and unwanted attraction was so brilliantly written, and I loved every word between them. On the other hand, both of Cassandra's sisters were so bratty and annoying; they did not deserve her love and Cassandra deserved better. The ending was so heartbreakingly beautiful, and I loved how Joshua finally groveled and redeemed himself. This book is the perfect example of why I love the historical romance genre so much as the romance was beautifully epic ♡
My Joshua, with his shirt open and a rose ready for his wife, Cassandra...
