Making Love with the Land by Joshua Whitehead

i think i wouldve enjoyed making love with the land more had i not read it in audio. this book is dense, revealing and thought-provoking, w/ whitehead exploring a variety of topics such as indigenous lives, history, family, queer love, his own eating disorder and body image struggles and - my favorite - the publishing industry and BIPOC writers, tho it can be rambling at times and would benefit from being more concise.
Graphic: Eating disorder, Pandemic/Epidemic, Racism, and Colonisation
Moderate: Sexual content, Suicidal thoughts, Death, Mental illness, and Homophobia
