I feel like this book had good ideas but it ended up feeling a bit clunky. I enjoyed Mason as a character. His personality was a good mixture of cute/fun and angsty/jaded, and I felt like his back story was compelling and well-written. Jackson, on the other hand, kind of bothered me. I don't know why he had to be British...but the accent felt so forced and not really very fluid at all. His character just felt like it was missing some depth. They also seemed to fall in love so abruptly, it was a little jarring. I did really like the side characters, and I think I will read more of this series to see if it gets better because a lot of times the first book is stuck working out the kinks and the next few I end up enjoying a lot more.
