The Prophet
by Kahlil Gibran
Gave this a try as it’s not my usual book genre, was highly rated and it’s so short that I would blink and it would be over. Well I guess that’s exactly what happened, because I sped through it too fast and I don’t think I paid careful enough attention to give any of it a chance to soak in.
However, what I did vaguely get was to try and look at everyday aspects of life (marriage, children, work, etc.) in a different, more positive way.
Will probably reread it again someday, but at the moment, not quite in a philosophical/self-help (?) book reading kind of mood.
