Soooo good being back in Alagaësia! I loved learning more about Murtagh and Thorn, and Murtagh's character development was inspirational.
The plot was very slow for me during the first half and it slowed again for a good chunk of the second half, but in the middle and end of the book, the action and mystery were GOOD.
So in my opinion, it was worth the read. There were loose ends, but the authors note at the end said that was deliberate as Christopher Paolini has more books to write in this universe.
