Overall a very hodge-podge Superficial story. Certainly entertaining with a few saving grace elements like third party POV chapters or sections describing what the main cast is doing or events that lead to the main plot line. The language is simple and straightforward and doesn't add much else to the book.

The cast is composed of...non characters for the most part: predictable and shallow motivations and dialogue that is, admittedly, sometimes funny but overall lacking substance and creativity.

The action scenes are fine and when the plot points move quickly It's bearable. Dialogue-heavy reflective or planning sections are a struggle to get through.

This book is a good choice if you just want something to read and turn your brain off.
