This was so unlike any other Catherine Cowles book I’ve read. There was no guessing of the bad guy, it was very obvious who it was from the beginning, and that didn’t change. But everything that makes one of her novels unique to her was still here. I really loved Kenna, she’s probably up there as one of my favorite Cowles protagonists. Crosby was great too, he was the perfect other half for Kenna, and watching them fall for one another when neither of them planned for anything serious was a delight. She had so many walls up, and he was the only one who was gonna be able to break through them. Loved it!
